Anyone who knows me, knows that I am very passionate about car audio/video and electronics.
Sometimes, to a fault.
I have refused to sell products to people, (even though they were willing to buy)... because it wasn't the right solution for their situation.
When someone comes in and says "I want to buy that amp," I don't just grab my receipt book and start writing.
I ask questions. I want to make SURE that they are buying the correct product for their particular system/application.
There are PLENTY of places that will take your money WITHOUT making sure that what you are buying is what you NEED. (Some of these places are even LOCAL.)
I'm not in the "sugar-coating business" and, contrary to the old saying, the customer is NOT always right.
Unfortunately, many customers have been lied to (by BS/inflated manufacturer specifications or even other shops) and/or poorly advised by a friend (who fancies himself an "expert" on car stereos.) I don't think that I am an expert on on anything BUT system design and consulting.
OK, time to watch some USC baseball
hope everyone has a great day

here is a link to the print review of the 2012 model Clarion VX-401 in Performance Auto & Sound (www.PASMag.com)
If you are like me, you go right to the "Conclusion" of most reviews and read that first. Well, here it is:
The Clarion VX401 represents a major step forward in terms of functionality and user interface. It sounds excellent, is easy-to-use and on a day-to-day basis would make your commute much more enjoyable. With a vast array of built-in sources, and the ability to connect pretty much anything else you’d like, plus the convenience and safety of a good Bluetooth interface, the VX401 has a lot to offer at a very affordable price.
Clarion's reputation for cutting edge, user-friendly products is legendary.
We have installed quite a few of these in customers' cars and everyone has been blown away by the features, the iPod integration, and the Bluetooth/hands-free module.
Stop by and check it out! You're sure to love it!!
